One bird running the show, a husband-and-wife team behind him, and a daughter ready to take calls. Here's how Pretty Boy Plumbing actually came together.
Pretty Boy is a Moluccan Cockatoo, adopted into our family in 2021. He's loud, he's opinionated, and he's somehow become the face — and the namesake — of our entire company.
The name fits. He's vain, dramatic, and absolutely gorgeous, which is exactly the energy behind our slogan: plumbing might not be pretty, but the bird is. He's not just a mascot — he's the reason this business has a personality, even when the job is digging through a sewer line.
Moluccan cockatoos are considered one of the loudest parrot species in the world — their calls can carry over a mile. If you've heard Pretty Boy, you already knew that.
Javier has been working as a plumber for over 20 years. That's two decades of seeing every type of pipe, fixture, and "how did this even happen" plumbing disaster the Valley can produce — including full home repipes, not just the small stuff.
He's the hands-on expertise behind every job we take, and on Saturdays, Melissa is right there working alongside him.
Meet the operations. Melissa — Pretty Boy's mom and the woman who built this business — makes sure every job runs the way it should, from the first call to the final walkthrough. Her daughter Nadia is stepping into scheduling and client care, meaning when you reach out, you're talking to family. Pretty Boy supervises from his perch and takes full credit for everything.

Pretty Boy is the reason this company exists, so it felt right to give back to birds like him. Valleywide Parrot Rescue takes in parrots that are lost, losing their home, neglected, or abused — rehabilitates them, and finds them new loving homes. Right here in Phoenix. Right in our backyard.
